Over the past year I have made great strides since attending the MEGA event in Florida. Annihilator of Innocence was completed within Three months after attending the event. Some of the best advice that our team received in Orlando back in July 0f 2006 is what we followed ... finish your book! I will never regret following this advice. It's easy to keep putting off completing your book until you think it's perfect. When it comes to writing, many people might want to re-write over and over again. I was blessed to have a team of people, including editors, and copywriters, that were able to pull together the proper flow, without taking away where I was trying to go with my book.

One of the "faculty members" (MEGA does not refer to their presenters as speakers, but rather as faculty. because they like to treat the setting as a University) at MEGA was Richard Paul Evans, author of "The Christmas Box". His presentation as one ofthe faculty at MEGA was among the most inspirational to me. I was very happy when, after only four months of being on my journey to have my first book signing, that at his book signing in Birmingham, he asked me to sign a copy ormy book for him! Unbelievable! I actually signed a book for Richard Paul Evans at HIS book signing table!! He was so wonderful to let me come to his table, and he let my book sit right there during the whole time he was signing his book, Finding Noel, for everyone to see.

I participated in quite a few book signings from the Fall of 2006 through the Winter and Spring of 2007. Over time, I have been blessed to make great strides, and have advanced from author book signings to professional speaking engagements. Most of my book signings have been standing room only.

I was selected to be the keynote speaker for the annual fundraiser for the Exchange Club Family Skills Center in Birmingham, Alabama. The event had approximately 200 people in attendance. The Exchange Club helps women and children dealing with the aftereffects caused by abuse and domestic violence. It was incredible that, while I was giving my speech to the Exchange Club, it was also being shared with another audience on that same day by teleconference in Atlanta, Georgia. Isn't technology amazing! The Atlanta organization is called ELEGANT DOVES. lbis group helps individuals who are victims of incest. My speech was called, 'Dancers in the Shadows: Where Danger Lives".

I feel my journey is just beginning. As I spread my wings more and more, I know that I am called to continue sharing my story with many others through speaking engagements.
